Art is a journey of shared learning. Here, I explore my role as an educator and the joy of fostering creativity within the next generation of architects and artists.

A look back at a year of growth. This video compilation shows highlights from various projects, collaborations, and teaching engagements, celebrating the stories and trust behind every milestone.

I was absolutely delighted and honored to receive "The Dynamic Entrepreneur of the Year Award" from The Women's Circle. It was a wonderful opportunity to share my journey and connect with talented women from all walks of life.

As a faculty mentor at D. Y. Patil School of Architecture, I guide students in exploring visual arts. This video shows a tile designing assignment where students created beautiful patterns in clay inspired by Maheshwari motifs.

I love seeing my students' creativity come to life. This video showcases the work of first-year architecture students, who used materials like Shilpkar clay, jute, and sun board to create models and artworks for their semester exhibition.

About Mentorship & Community

Beyond my murals, I run hands-on workshops in Mumbai for architecture students and beginners. We focus on practical techniques—clay moulding, relief work, and motif design—that help you translate visual ideas into physical form. If you are looking to learn the craft or explore collaborative academic projects, let's connect.

I believe art is a dialogue, not a monologue. My time as a faculty mentor at the D. Y. Patil School of Architecture has become a vital part of my practice. Watching first-year architecture students take traditional materials like Shilpkar clay and jute to reinterpret vernacular architecture is a testament to the power of guided creativity.

The Philosophy of Teaching

My workshops are not just about finishing a project; they are about understanding the relationship between material and structure. When I guide students through Maheshwari motif design or tile-making techniques, we start with sketches and end with a physical, tactile understanding of the medium. This process of deep observation is what I teach—whether to students or to my private clients.

Recognised Practice

Receiving 'The Dynamic Entrepreneur of the Year' award from The Women's Circle was a reminder that the business of art is also about the community you build. It validated the path of integrating professional practice with mentorship. Whether through teaching, exhibitions, or collaborative dialogue, I strive to share the 'why' behind the 'how'.

If you are an educator seeking a guest lecture, a student interested in mural techniques, or a fellow creator looking to explore sustainable materials like sadhuchi mati, I am always open to a conversation about art that lasts.

I’m Hansa. I’ve spent 35 years at the easel, but some of my greatest lessons come from the students I teach. When I'm not sculpting murals, I'm usually in a studio, helping the next generation of architects find their own creative voice.
