Safe & Secure Artwork Delivery
Worried about your custom painting getting damaged on its way home? I ensure every portrait from my Banswara studio is packed to survive the journey, anywhere in India.
Here you can see me carefully packing the large Saint Anthony oil painting. I roll the canvas and place it in a sturdy tube to ensure it travels safely to the client in Goa.
This video shows my packing process for a custom family colour pencil sketch. I use a fixative, a protective sheet, and a strong tube to ship this A2 size artwork to Shree Ganganagar.
About Safe & Secure Packaging
Every portrait I paint gets the same careful treatment before it leaves my desk. I start by applying a professional fixative spray to lock in the colors or graphite, then wrap the canvas in protective sheets, and finally secure it inside a heavy-duty, crush-proof PVC pipe to make sure it reaches your hands exactly as I painted it.
Shipping art is not just about putting it in a box. Since my work ranges from delicate pencil sketches to textured oil paintings on canvas, I have developed a packing process that guarantees safety regardless of the distance.
My Packing Process
- Fixative Coating: For pencil and charcoal works, a professional-grade fixative is essential to prevent smudging or fading during transit. This adds a layer of protection to the fine details.
- Moisture Protection: I wrap each piece in high-quality butter paper or protective sheets. This keeps moisture, dust, and humidity away from the art, which is crucial for oil paintings that need to stay pristine.
- Crush-Proof Packaging: The final layer is a sturdy, professional-grade PVC plumbing pipe. These are incredibly tough and ensure the artwork does not bend, crease, or tear, no matter how rough the handling might be during shipping.
Whether I am sending a portrait to a big metro city or a smaller town, the process stays the same. My goal is to make sure that when you open that tube, you see the artwork exactly as it looked when I finished it in my studio. It is a lot of extra effort, but it is the only way I work. I want you to feel confident that your commission will arrive in perfect condition, ready for you to frame and display.
