When I work with oil paints, it is a different kind of challenge compared to the bold, flat colors of Madhubani or Paitkar art. It is a slow process. It involves sketching, priming the canvas, applying layers of color, and then waiting. That waiting period is vital. My work is not printed or digitally touched up, so those drying weeks are part of the 'mehnat' (hard work) that I promise with every commission.
