Light Art Shows for Events
Transforming your story into glowing, moving images. A modern, mesmerizing live performance perfect for tributes, anniversaries, and corporate milestones.
On the occasion of Diwali, the festival of lights, I launched this new art form. This video gives a sneak peek into how I use light and technology to create art, opening up a new journey of storytelling.
About Light Art Shows
To get the best result for a light art show, the venue needs to be pitch dark. I use specialized light tools on a photosensitive screen, so even a small amount of ambient light can affect the glowing images. If you are planning an awards night or a tribute, let us make sure the AV team is on board for a full blackout during my 15-minute performance.
This art form is different from sand art or painting. I work with light wands to draw on a special screen that captures the glow, creating images that morph and fade as I tell your story. It is a cinematic experience live on stage.
Whether you are celebrating a company's journey, a 50th wedding anniversary, or a tribute to a loved one, this format allows for a very specific narrative flow. I usually script these performances to run between 12 to 15 minutes, syncing the light drawings with a pre-recorded voiceover and music.
Because this relies on live projection, there are three technical requirements I always coordinate with the venue:
- Total Darkness: This is non-negotiable. If the room has windows or bright exit signs, they need to be masked.
- Projection: I provide the HDMI feed from my laptop, but you will need a high-quality LED wall or projector and a sound system.
- Space: I need a dedicated stage area where I can move freely without being blocked by furniture or pillars.
If you have a projector screen or LED wall already set up for your main event, we can often tap into that existing infrastructure to show the live art.
