About Glitter & Reveal Paintings
The performance centers on the reveal moment. Before the music starts, I sketch the portrait onto a large black canvas using a specialized invisible adhesive. Your guests see a blank space, and then, in a coordinated effort with the couple or VIPs, the glitter is thrown. The adhesive catches the particles, and the face appears instantly. The entire act takes about 10 minutes, making it an ideal choice for filling a specific slot in your event schedule.
How the Reveal Works
This is not a painting that is created over hours. It is a live stage act designed for impact. I bring my own high-grade glitter and the prepared canvas to the venue. The performance relies on the contrast between the black canvas and the glitter, creating a sharp, recognizable portrait that appears almost like magic.
Customization for Your Event
Every portrait is based on a photo you provide. Whether it is a 25th wedding anniversary or a surprise birthday, I customize the sketch to match the people being honored. Since I am doing the sketching beforehand, I need a high-quality, clear photo of the couple or individual at least 7 days before the event to ensure the detail is perfect.
What I Need from You
To make the performance a success, I require a few basics:
- Space: A dedicated area for the easel and drop cloths to keep the venue clean after the glitter throw.
- Lighting: Basic stage wash lighting so the audience can see the portrait clearly once it appears.
- Audio: A sound system for the high-tempo track I use during the act to build anticipation.
Venue Flexibility
I have performed this act in diverse settings, from indoor banquet halls in Nashik to outdoor lawn weddings in Saputara. As long as there is a stable floor for the easel and a bit of room for the reveal, I can set up.
