Meet Artist Rupali Jhaveri: Custom Art & Design
I'm Rupali, a Mumbai-based artist turning textures, charcoal, and mixed media into pieces that tell your story. Explore the process behind my work and let’s start a conversation about art for your space.
Hey, I'm Rupali. I create bespoke mixed-media artworks and sculptures. Each piece is developed through a personalized process, and I love collaborating with private collectors and interior designers to create something special.
For those who have just stumbled upon my page, welcome. I'm a Mumbai-based artist who loves to explore all forms of art, from pet portraits to large commission works for homes and offices. I look forward to connecting with you.
This is the story of how I became a professional artist. It started with creating art for my husband's office and grew from there, all thanks to the amazing support and love I received on social media.
People often ask about mistakes in art, but I believe there are none. Art is about your creativity and emotions. My advice is to just keep painting and keep growing without fear.
If there's one thing I've learned as an artist, it's to never stop learning. Growth only comes from learning, and I apply that philosophy not just to my art but to my day-to-day life as well.
Here's a secret: all artists make "mistakes." The real art is in how we cover them up and make them a beautiful part of the artwork. Don't be scared to begin; just let your heart guide you.
I'm sharing three mistakes I've learned from: be patient throughout the entire process, don't fear the outcome before you begin, and remember that you don't need expensive tools to create beautiful art.
Get to know me in this one-minute rapid-fire Q&A. I talk about my favorite medium, my dream collaboration with Van Gogh, and where I see my art taking me in the next five years.
Charcoal or acrylics? Texture or pyrography? I played a quick game of "This or That" to share some of my favorite art forms. Watch to see which one is my absolute favorite to work with.
About Meet the Artist
Commissioning art is a collaborative journey, not just a transaction. I walk you through every step—from initial sketches and color palettes to final texturing—to make sure the final piece captures your vision, whether it is a sculptural wall relief or a detailed charcoal portrait for your home.
My journey as an artist started unexpectedly, and it has been shaped by the support of people who value real, tactile art. I never sit still—if I am not drawing with charcoal, I am experimenting with clay, pyrography, or mixed media textures. My goal is simple: to create art that feels like an extension of your own story.
How We Work Together
I prefer to think of every project as a partnership. When you reach out, we start with a conversation about what you are looking for—the colors that define your room, the memories you want to capture in a portrait, or the specific texture you love. I share samples and layout sketches so we are always on the same page before I commit to the final piece. Whether it is a large statement canvas or a smaller clay relief, I take my time to get it right.
My Approach to Art
I don't believe in 'mistakes'—I believe in learning. This philosophy drives how I use my materials. I use heavy layers of gesso, modeling paste, and charcoal to create depth that you can actually feel. Because I focus on custom work for homes and offices across Mumbai, no two pieces are the same. If you are looking for something that adds soul to your interiors, let's connect and brainstorm ideas.
