The Lighter Side of Sports: Real Training, Real Fun
Sports is hard work, but if you aren't laughing along the way, you're missing the point. Here is how we keep the grind enjoyable at Thirty40.
Yes, I coach Padel and Pickleball too! As a tennis coach, I've seen the joy racket sports bring, and I'm excited to expand that passion. This video is a fun take on how coaches like me are embracing these amazing, fast-growing sports.
Sometimes, you're too close to a problem to see the solution. That's where a coach comes in. My job is to give you the perspective and strategy to break through barriers, whether it's a tricky shot or a mental block. We'll find the way forward together.
About The Lighter Side of Sports
Honestly, if you aren't enjoying the process, you're doing it wrong. I use humor to keep things real on the court because whether we're drilling for a tournament or just learning to hold a pickleball racket, the vibe matters. This isn't just about trophies; it's about building a community that actually likes the grind.
Most people think coaching is just shouting instructions from the sidelines. That’s not how we roll at Thirty40. Humor is a tool—it breaks the tension when a drill gets tough, when you're frustrated with your backhand, or when you’re learning to use the glass walls in Padel for the first time.
Whether you are stepping onto the Padel court at Jaypee Greens or hitting the acrylics at Pusa Road, you'll find that we work hard, but we don't take ourselves too seriously.
Why the humor?
Because tennis, Padel, and Pickleball are demanding sports. If you can't laugh at a missed shot, you'll burn out. My job as a coach isn't just to teach you the biomechanics—it's to make sure you stick with the sport long enough to actually get good.
Is it all play?
Definitely not. Look at the videos—it's about perspective. Sometimes you're too close to a problem (like that serve you keep missing) and you need a coach to show you the door. We drill hard, we sweat, and we build your level from the ground up. But we also make sure you enjoy the company of other players.
If you are ready for a community that works as hard as they play, you’re in the right place.
