A pretty pathway means nothing if it settles unevenly after the first heavy rain. We do not lay stones directly on dirt. Every cobblestone project we handle starts with a reinforced PCC concrete bed. This foundation keeps the stones locked in place, prevents shifting, and ensures your driveway or garden path remains durable even with regular vehicle movement.

The Foundation Matters

Most people focus on the color of the stone, but I always tell clients to look at the base. If the sub-base is weak, your driveway will sink and develop puddles, no matter how expensive the stones are. We excavate, grade for drainage, and lay a 3 to 4-inch M20 grade concrete bed before touching a single cobblestone.

Custom Patterns, No Cookie-Cutter Work

We don't use standard prefab grids. Whether you want European fan patterns, concentric circles for a driveway centerpiece, or a classic geometric grid, my team lays each stone by hand. We use 4x4 inch granite cubes in shades of grey, black, and red to bring texture to your outdoor space.

1. Site Inspection: We check soil type, natural slope, and intended use (pedestrian vs. vehicle) to determine the necessary foundation strength.
2. Preparation: Clearing debris, digging, and pouring the reinforced concrete bed.
3. Laying: Hand-placing the stones to match your chosen pattern, followed by precision edge detailing with granite kerbs.
4. Finishing: Pointing and grouting to lock everything into place.
