About Meet Your Mentor: Anurag Dixit
Learning from someone who has actually been in the studio and on stage changes everything. I do not just teach you how to play songs; I teach you how to hear music, understand its structure, and develop the technique that lets you play anything you want. In our private sessions, we fix your posture and technique in real time, so you do not build habits that will hold you back later.
I started Musicology back in 2003 because I saw too much talent getting stuck in hobby-level classes. My approach is simple: I treat you like a musician from day one, whether you are 5 or 50. I am here to skip the fluff and help you get to the real work of making great music.
My methodology is built on structure. We move past the 'random lesson' format. Instead, we focus on music theory, ear training, and technical drills that build a solid foundation. If you are learning the guitar, we do not just learn chords, we learn how to map the fretboard. If you are learning to sing, we work on breath control and vocal dynamics, not just mimicking tracks.
I have taken the experience of having my songs on MTV and releasing albums on major labels like Universal Music and applied it to a curriculum that works online. We use interactive Zoom sessions to ensure you get immediate feedback. You are not watching a pre-recorded video; you are interacting with senior faculty who can correct your finger placement or pitch on the spot.
