About My Journey in Music
I didn't start in a studio, I spent years in a career in diplomacy before choosing music full-time. That shift taught me that singing isn't just about perfect technique, it is about having the courage to express yourself. When we work together, I bring that same mindset to every session, helping you unlearn the 'task' of singing so you can actually perform.
My journey into music was never a straight line. It was a conscious choice to leave a career in diplomacy because I realized my happiness was tied to the stage, not a desk. This transition taught me one critical lesson: singing is more than just hitting notes, it is about sustainable vocal health and stage presence.
The Science and the Soul
When I teach, I don't just focus on the 'fancy runs'. I focus on the anatomy. My background is rooted in Jazz, Pop, and Soul, and I spent years learning from the best to understand the mechanics of the voice. I apply this rigorous approach to every student, whether you are a total beginner or an intermediate artist looking to refine your tone. We work on tension release, breath support, and vocal colors, making sure you understand the 'why' behind every exercise.
Why I Teach
I believe in honest progress. I don't want you to just copy your favorite artists, I want you to find your own 'vibe'. My sessions are a judgment-free zone where we break down complex concepts like glottal management and belting into something you can actually use. Whether you are prepping for a studio recording session with the Adil Manuel Collective or just starting your journey to find your voice, we work with discipline and purpose.
My goal is to share everything I have learned, from the mistakes I made to the breakthrough moments on stage, so you can build a voice that is both technically sound and deeply expressive.
