A glimpse into my studio. From my hands-on workshops in Surat and Mumbai to the detailed artistic journey behind every bridal design, here is how I bring henna art to life.

From a simple outline to a fully filled masterpiece. This video shows the artistic transition of a paper design, a process I teach my students to master.

Get ready to elevate your mehandi skills. This video gives a sneak peek into the kind of advanced bridal figures and techniques I teach in my workshops.

I was honoured to be invited as a judge for a mehandi competition. It was a wonderful experience to see so much talent and share my passion with fellow artists and enthusiasts.

"Why so much for just four lines of mehandi?" This audio speaks for all artists. It takes years of hard work and dedication to perfect those four lines. Please value the art and the artist.

A magical moment happens when the mehandi artist and makeup artist work together. This behind-the-scenes video shows the beautiful process of getting a bride ready for her big day.

A bridal entry demo created for my students. I love teaching them how to create complex scenes with multiple figures, like this one showing a bride under a phoolon ki chadar.

Jaadu hi jaadu hai. Another look at the transition from a simple outline to a fully detailed design, a magical process that I share with students in my class.

About Behind the Art: Workshops & Process

Learning mehandi is more than just holding a cone; it is about muscle memory, patience, and mastering the fine lines that make a design come alive. In my hands-on workshops in Surat and Mumbai, I break down these complex, live-looking portraits and Pichwai-inspired figures into simple, repeatable steps so you can gain the confidence to create your own professional-grade bridal art.

From Outline to Masterpiece

My process begins with a clean, confident outline, which I teach my students to master before moving to the filling phase. Whether I am sketching a bride and groom on a palm or a detailed figure of Radhe-Krishna, the key is understanding the flow of the design. My workshops are designed to strip away the intimidation of complex bridal mehandi, focusing instead on structural drawing and fine-line techniques that allow you to replicate high-end bridal looks.

What You Will Learn

My curriculum goes beyond basic patterns. I focus on the technicalities that define a professional mehandi artist:

  • Bridal Figure Drawing: Learning to sketch deities and couples with precision.
  • Pichwai & Traditional Motifs: Mastering the classic architecture and temple arches found in royal bridal henna.
  • Advanced Techniques: Managing henna consistency, pressure control for fine lines, and understanding negative space to make your stain pop.
  • Professional Habits: How to work efficiently in high-pressure wedding environments without sacrificing quality.

My Workshop Approach

I believe that teaching is a form of service. My sessions in Surat, Mumbai, and online are intentionally kept intimate so I can provide personal feedback on every student's hand movement. If you are an aspiring artist or a professional looking to add portraiture to your portfolio, these classes are designed to help you elevate your craft. We don't just practice on paper; we work on real skin, focusing on the ergonomics of bridal mehandi to ensure you are ready for real-world events.
