I bring the warmth of Kutch tradition into modern spaces using clay and mirrors. Each piece is handcrafted by me, focusing on intricate textures and vibrant colors to brighten up your walls.

About this collection

Every Lippan piece I create starts on a plain wooden board. I meticulously shape the clay, embed each mirror by hand, and finish with vibrant acrylic paints. Because this is a manual process, the clay texture and mirror placement will have a unique character, ensuring the artwork you receive is one of a kind.

Lippan art, traditionally known as mud and mirror work from Kutch, Gujarat, holds a special place in my heart. It is more than just decor; it is a meditative practice of combining clay, vibrant paint, and reflective mirrors to capture light and tradition.

My Process & Materials

I primarily work on sturdy wooden MDF boards, which provide a reliable base for the heavy clay work.

  • Clay Work: I hand-shape the clay patterns, whether it is a serene Buddha, a majestic peacock, or a detailed Ganesha motif.
  • Mirror Work: Each mirror is placed precisely to catch natural light, adding depth and a festive sparkle to the piece.
  • Finishing: I seal the art to ensure durability. While these pieces are designed for indoor display, they are light enough to hang on any wall in your living room, pooja area, or entryway.

Customization

I love working on custom orders. If you have a specific deity in mind, a color palette that matches your home decor, or a specific size requirement for a wall hanging, feel free to reach out. I can adapt my traditional Lippan style to suit your vision, whether it is for a housewarming gift or a personal addition to your space.
