Hand-Painted Traditional Home Decor

I transform everyday wooden pieces into vibrant art. From Rajasthani-inspired Jharokha frames to South Indian Kolam-painted chowkis, I add a touch of heritage and color to your living space.

Here I am showcasing my collection of hand-painted Jharokha mirror frames. Each wooden frame is painted in a vibrant blue and adorned with white floral motifs, inspired by Rajasthani architecture.

A full set of my blue Jharokha frames, available in different sizes and designs. They can be arranged together to create a stunning gallery wall with a traditional Indian touch.

These are my hand-painted Pooja Chowkis, or small pedestals for placing deities or diyas. They are made from MDF wood and feature traditional South Indian kolam designs on a rich red background.

I also paint larger decorative items, like this wooden elephant head. I used a bright blue base and added a beautiful lotus design and other traditional motifs to create a striking piece of wall decor.

About this collection

These pieces are not just for display. My hand-painted Pooja Chowkis, for instance, are crafted on sturdy MDF to hold your deities securely while adding a vibrant, traditional look to your prayer space. Each one features precise, hand-painted Kolam detailing, so every brushstroke is unique to your specific piece.

I believe that your home decor should tell a story. My work with traditional crafts focuses on bringing authentic patterns into modern homes without losing that handmade touch.

My Crafting Process

I work primarily with high-quality MDF wood, ensuring durability for items like Pooja Chowkis and Jharokha frames. I use acrylic paints for their vibrant finish and seal every piece with a protective varnish. This makes them easy to clean and resistant to dust, which is essential for home decor.

Traditional Themes & Motifs

  • Jharokha Mirror Frames: Inspired by Rajasthani architecture, these frames are designed to act as decorative windows. I paint them with floral motifs that contrast beautifully with the base colors, turning a simple mirror into a wall centerpiece.
  • South Indian Kolam Art: You will find this traditional floor art style adapted for my Pooja Chowkis. The symmetry of these white patterns on rich, bold backgrounds brings a festive feel to any pooja room.
  • Decorative Elephants: These wooden figures are painted with traditional motifs like lotus flowers and gold accents, symbolizing prosperity and strength.

Customization

Since I make everything myself, you are not limited to what you see here. If you have a specific color palette in mind to match your living room or need a particular size for your pooja shelf, just let me know. I can adapt the motifs and colors to ensure the piece fits perfectly in your home.
