Updating a 50-year-old campus taught me how to blend institutional utility with a warm, inviting aesthetic. Let's preserve your legacy while refreshing your space.

The main reception desk at Maniben Nanavati Women's College. I used dark, fluted wood panels to add texture and warmth, contrasting with the clean white walls and bright, modern lighting to create a professional first impression.

Another perspective of the reception lobby, showing how the space flows. I incorporated indoor plants to bring life into the area and used large glass partitions to maintain a sense of openness while defining the administrative offices.

This wider view highlights the scale of the renovation. The geometric lines inlaid into the floor guide movement through the space, and the curved wall softens the overall architecture, making the large lobby feel more approachable.

About Institutional Revitalization

When working on historic institutions, the goal is never to erase the past but to give it a new lease on life. At Maniben Nanavati Women’s College, I focused on high-durability materials like dark, fluted wood panels and slip-resistant flooring to manage daily foot traffic while keeping the reception area feeling open and welcoming.
