More Than Just Portraits: Candid Couple Shoots
Forget the stiff poses. This is about capturing the adventure, the quirks, and the real connection you share, wherever your story takes us.
This black and white shot of Nikita and Sachin walking through the Ganga in their wedding clothes is the definition of an adventurous couple. It was cold, but their willingness to do something different resulted in truly memorable and artistic wedding portraits.
I used a slow shutter speed to capture the motion of traffic in front of this couple in Fontainhas, Goa. This creative technique isolates them in a pocket of calm, creating an artistic and moody shot outside a beautiful cafe.
A candid moment of connection in the Latin Quarters of Panjim. The strong shadows and bright sunlight create a dramatic effect, highlighting the couple as they share a quiet moment.
Combining two of my favourite things: the colorful streets of Fontainhas and a vintage car. This shot feels like a still from a travel film, telling a story of romance and adventure in Goa.
Taking wedding portraits to the next level. Here, the bride sits on the rocks by the Ganga river in Rishikesh, holding her new husband's hand. It's a beautiful blend of traditional attire and a wild, natural setting.
An intimate embrace with the flowing river and hills of Rishikesh as the backdrop. This is a perfect example of a destination wedding portrait that truly captures the spirit of the location.
Laughter and joy while walking barefoot on the rocky shore of the Ganga. This photo shows that even in full wedding attire, you can have fun and create spontaneous, happy memories.
A cool, stylish pose against the charming storefront in Fontainhas. This shot has a relaxed, editorial feel, showcasing the couple's modern vibe during their Goa shoot.
A simple walk hand-in-hand becomes a beautiful photograph against the striking yellow architecture of Fontainhas. The composition and color make this a visually compelling image.
About More Than Just Portraits
If you are willing to wade into a river in your wedding attire or wander through crowded streets to get that perfect shot, then we are the right match. These sessions are about the experience, not just the photos. We will focus on a wardrobe plan that keeps you comfortable, so you can forget about the camera and focus entirely on each other.
I believe that the best images happen when you stop worrying about how you look and start focusing on how you feel. Whether it is stepping into the ice-cold Ganga in Rishikesh or navigating the colorful, quiet corners of Fontainhas in Goa, I look for couples who want their photography to be an adventure.
I do not believe in traditional posing. I use documentary techniques to capture your chemistry as it unfolds. For destination shoots, we find locations that truly match your personalities. If you are an adventurous couple, we head to the hills. If you prefer a cinematic vibe, we find hidden spots that feel like they belong in an old film.
My process always starts with a 30-minute virtual consultation. We discuss your vision, build a mood board, and finalize your wardrobe to ensure it feels authentic to you. By the time we start shooting, you will feel like you are just hanging out with a friend, which is when the real magic happens. Whether we are chasing the golden hour or trying to capture a quiet moment amidst the chaos, my goal is to give you photos that are as real and honest as your relationship.
Ananya Rijhwani
I am Ananya, and I am obsessed with couples who want to ditch the traditional script. My work is not about perfect poses or staged smiles. It is about capturing the real, messy, beautiful stuff that defines your connection. I prefer being a friend who happens to have a camera, helping you feel relaxed enough to just be yourselves.
