I often recommend a split-day session for Goa shoots: we catch the soft, quiet light in the morning, and then meet again at sunset for that rich golden hour glow. This gives us two distinct moods and plenty of time for you to actually relax and enjoy the coast, rather than rushing through a single slot.
My approach to these beach sessions is documentary-led. I am not interested in making you look like a model, but rather in capturing the chemistry that happens when you're barefoot on the sand or hiding from a quick monsoon drizzle. Goa offers so much more than just beach backdrops; we can explore the rustic, old-school charm of the Latin Quarters or find quiet rocky outcrops that feel like they belong only to you.
Why a Split-Day Session?
The light in Goa changes drastically. By splitting our time, we avoid the harsh, flat midday sun and focus entirely on the 'magic hours'. It also helps us move past the initial camera shyness. By the time we hit the second half of the day, you will be so relaxed that the photos naturally turn into candid memories rather than staged portraits.
Logistics & Planning
- Locations: Whether you prefer the dramatic cliffs of the south or the lively energy of the north, I tailor the location to your vibe.
- Outfits: Bring layers. Breezy, light fabrics work best with the ocean breeze, but I always suggest having a fun, vibrant change of clothes for when we want to capture that 'rager' energy.
- Props: I prefer keeping it minimal. The ocean and the light are our props. However, if you have a specific idea like a vintage car rental or a private boat, let me know in advance so we can coordinate the logistics.
