Cinematic & Candid Couple Portraits

About Couple Portraits: Cinematic & Candid
The biggest challenge in a portrait shoot isn't the camera; it's feeling comfortable. In our sessions, I use prompts rather than poses to help you interact naturally. Whether it's a simple walk or a quiet conversation, we focus on moving together, which removes that awkward feeling of not knowing what to do with your hands and lets your real chemistry shine through.
My approach is rooted in documentary photography. I am not interested in directing every single movement or expression. Instead, I suggest activities—a slow walk, a shared joke, a moment of silence—that allow me to catch spontaneous reactions. This is why I love post-wedding shoots; the pressure of the ceremony is gone, and you are fully present with each other.
Choosing Your Backdrop
Whether it's the historic Anjaneri temple ruins in Nashik, a dramatic stepwell in Gujarat, or the monsoon-drenched beaches of Goa, the location serves as a backdrop, not a distraction. I scout for spots that offer texture and history, which add a cinematic quality to your images. If you have a place that holds meaning for your relationship, let’s go there.
The Practical Reality
For pre-wedding or post-wedding sessions, we usually aim for 4 to 6 hours. This gives us enough time to get comfortable without rushing. If you are nervous about being in front of the lens, please don't worry. I have heard 'I am not photogenic' from almost every couple I have shot. My job is to handle the light and the angles so you only have to focus on each other.
Travel & Planning
Yes, I travel for shoots. If you have a specific destination in mind—a heritage hotel, a hidden beach, or your hometown—let’s talk. Arre chill maar, we will figure out the logistics. The goal is always the same: to create a set of images that feels like a film still, full of life and honest emotion.
