It's all in the details. This close-up shot focuses on the baby bump, draped in soft mauve tulle and adorned with fresh flowers, showcasing the thoughtful details that make each portrait special.
A close-up on the hands cradling the bump, a simple yet powerful gesture of love and protection. This shot captures the details and the deep connection of this special time.
Every mother is a queen. This dramatic studio portrait features a flowing red gown tossed to create a sense of movement and grandeur. The crown adds a final touch of royalty.
I love to create and experiment, especially with the elegance of a white saree. This is my own creation, a modern take on a traditional drape, for a simple, clean, and artistic maternity portrait.
The black and white version of the white saree drape. Monochrome brings out the beautiful textures of the fabric and the serene emotion of the moment, creating a timeless piece of art.

About The Art of Styling: Wardrobe & Details
You don't need to shop for outfits or figure out what looks good on camera. I manage the entire look from my studio wardrobe, which includes everything from hand-selected silk sarees to floaty tulle gowns. During our consultation, we lock down the color palette and accessories before you even step inside, so the session is completely stress-free.
Why I Manage Every Detail
Photography is just the final step. To me, a portrait is an architecture of light, fabric, and emotion. If the wardrobe doesn't match the light, or if the fabric doesn't sit right against your bump, the image loses its rhythm. This is why I personally oversee every element of your shoot.
The All-Inclusive Approach
When you step into my Jakkur studio, you aren't just a client; you are part of a creative process.
- Wardrobe: I maintain an extensive collection of high-flare gowns, delicate lace bodysuits, and premium Kanchivaram sarees. These aren't just costumes; they are textures I use to create that signature 'painterly' feel in your final images.
- Styling: I don't just provide the dress. I handle the draping, the crown placement, and the accessories. My background as an architect helps me see how the fabric lines flow, and my life as a painter helps me understand how the colors will pop in the final edit.
- Makeup: Professional HD makeup is part of the package. It is designed specifically for studio lighting to ensure your features stand out without looking overdone.
How We Work Together
Before the session, we chat about your story. Do you want to lean into a mythological, royal theme? Or are you looking for a clean, modern, monochrome aesthetic? Once we pick the direction, I pull the wardrobe that fits your vision. On the day, all you have to do is show up. You don't need to hunt for props or worry about color coordination—I have already done that. This is my art, and I take full responsibility for making sure you look like the queen you are.
Ambica
I don't just take pictures; I build a scene. With my background in architecture and painting, I see your maternity shoot as a chance to create a piece of fine art where your wardrobe is the texture and the light is my brush.
