An aerial view of the 'Echoes of Pink' wedding in Doha. The entire space, from the architectural arches to the seating, was designed in monochromatic shades of pink, creating a stunning visual against the poolside venue. The floral mandap stands as the beautiful centerpiece.
The 'Echoes of Pink' mandap was a breathtaking archway completely covered in thousands of pink and white flowers, signifying the blooming of a new relationship. The mirrored aisle reflected the sky and the floral splendor, creating a truly magical path for the bride.
This video captures the romantic and luxurious atmosphere of the 'Echoes of Pink' wedding. The design was inspired by Qatari architecture, with elegant arches and structures all rendered in the bride's favorite color, creating a space that was both personal and grand.
A behind-the-scenes moment of me adding the final touches to a tablescape in Doha. A wedding set is the calm after the storm of planning and execution, and seeing it all come together is the most rewarding part of my job.
The making of the floral mandap for the 'Echoes of Pink' wedding. This shows the incredible skill and hard work of my team, meticulously placing each flower to create the final, breathtaking structure.
For the 'Le Rouge' sangeet in Doha, I designed a contemporary boudoir burlesque theme. The entire ballroom was enveloped in rich red velvet and dramatic lighting to create an atmosphere of sophisticated drama and glamour.
Distorted mirrors and arched windows were a key feature of the 'Le Rouge' sangeet, adding a surreal, artistic element to the opulent red decor. The design was all about creating a vibe that was sexy, dramatic, and unforgettable.
For a 'Markets of the Middle East' theme in Doha, I brought the vibrant, eclectic feel of a traditional souq to life. The space featured earthy tones, handcrafted textiles, and lounge areas with modern arches, creating a fresh take on a heritage concept.
We included live artisans, like this calligrapher, to make the 'Markets of the Middle East' theme truly immersive and interactive for guests, celebrating the beauty of local crafts and culture.
A stunning view of the glasshouse mandap for the 'Romantic Garden' wedding in Bali. Set on a cliffside overlooking the ocean, this minimalist yet breathtaking structure was designed to harmonize with the natural beauty of the location.
About Destination Dreams: Bali & Doha
Designing across borders requires logistical precision beyond just aesthetics. When we build a parametric bamboo bar in Bali or construct an architectural glasshouse on a cliffside, we balance local climate conditions—like high humidity or heat—with structural integrity. We ensure your design looks as intentional at the end of the night as it did when your first guest arrived.
Designing outside India changes the game. It is not just about importing Indian decor; it is about creating a conversation between two distinct worlds. In Doha, we often lean into the architectural grandeur of the Middle East, using pop-art vibrancy or monochromatic palettes to complement the existing opulence of ballrooms like the St. Regis. We might bring in local artisans to calligraph details on-site, creating an interactive, authentic vibe that bridges the gap between a traditional Sangeet and a modern, high-end production.
Bali offers a different canvas. Here, the landscape is the decor. When we worked on a cliffside ceremony at Ayana Resort, we did not want to hide the ocean; we wanted to frame it. We constructed a glasshouse mandap that felt like a natural extension of the garden, using blown glass flowers that caught the sunlight. For a reception dinner under the trees, we hung floral chandeliers that reflected in the mirrored walkways, creating an enchanted forest feeling that felt right at home in the tropical setting.
Key elements we bring to every destination project:
- Cultural Synthesis: Mixing traditional elements like genda phool or mirror work with local accents like Balinese bamboo or Middle Eastern textiles.
- Climate-Proofing: Knowing which materials withstand tropical moisture or desert heat without wilting or peeling.
- Modular Design: Everything we create—from parametric bars to arched backdrops—is designed to be transported, assembled, and finished on-site with local partnerships.
Whether you are planning a beachside union or a grand ballroom celebration abroad, our process remains grounded in storytelling. We take the time to understand your heritage and find the right way to express it in a foreign setting, ensuring the result feels deeply personal.
