How I Design
Every venue is a blank slate. I’ve worked with heritage palaces, beach resorts, and even empty lawns. Here’s what I focus on:
- Mandap: The heart of the wedding. I treat it like a sacred space, whether it’s a floating palace, a modern Sheesh Mahal, or a glasshouse on a cliff.
- Pre-wedding events: Each one gets its own soul. Sangeet like a Parisian ball, Mehendi with African art vibes, Haldi bursting with genda (marigold) energy.
- Reception: I love a grand finale - maybe a black-and-white party under hot air balloons, or a candlelit dinner in a Sitara Mahal.

Hey, I'm Janki. Honestly, Altair began with just me, big sapne (dreams) and zero experience. I’m all heart - I want every space to feel warm, personal, and full of color. Sometimes it’s just genda phool (marigold) everywhere or bindis from my own drawer. It’s not about fancy stuff, it’s about catching a mood, a memory. Seeing couples smile, that’s the real magic for me. We’re still learning, still dreaming, and loving every bit.
