Stepping into a story where the ballroom becomes a vintage train journey. We transformed a Sangeet into a nostalgic, immersive rail experience filled with wood-panelled warmth and period details.

The grand entrance to the Sangeet, designed to look like a vintage train carriage named "Vaishnav & Sonali's Orient Express." The rich wood paneling, gold detailing, and LED screens showing moving landscapes immediately immersed guests in the theme.

To make the experience feel authentic, we created a train station departures board and check-in desk, complete with costumed performers acting as station agents. This interactive element was key to bringing the story to life from the moment guests arrived.

The interior of the ballroom was structured to mimic the inside of a luxury train, with curved archways and booth-style seating. The warm, dramatic lighting and rich red velvet curtains enhanced the romantic, vintage atmosphere of European rail travel.

This video captures the full experience, from the "To Trains" signage and costumed conductors to the carriage-style dining areas and candlelit lounges. Every detail was crafted to make guests feel like they were truly on a journey aboard the Orient Express.

The bar area was designed with intricate details reminiscent of a vintage train station, including a large clock, an arched window, and shelves filled with travel-themed artifacts and warm candlelight.

The lounge areas featured comfortable seating nooks with candle-filled shelves and warm, ambient lighting. The design focused on creating intimate spaces within the larger venue for guests to relax and socialize.

Details matter in storytelling. The reception desk featured vintage props like an old-fashioned telephone, candelabra, and signage, all set against the backdrop of the departures board to complete the immersive train station feel.

About A Night on the Orient Express

Creating this railway illusion required more than just visual props. It started with structural masking to make the hotel ballroom vanish. We installed wall-to-wall wood paneling and curved archways to shrink the space into intimate, carriage-style seating booths. By shifting the lighting to a warm, candlelit glow and incorporating moving landscape projections, we ensured guests felt like they were genuinely moving through the European countryside rather than sitting in a banquet hall.
