Spiritual & Guru Portraits for Your Home
Bringing the wisdom of your teachers and the peace of spiritual guidance onto canvas. We create respectful, soulful portraits that bring a grounded energy to your space.
This painting is my tribute to Srila Prabhupada, the founder of ISKCON. I aimed to capture his mood of deep meditation and wisdom, surrounded by a divine aura, to honor his immense contribution to spreading Krishna consciousness.
About Spiritual & Guru Portraits
When I paint a guru or spiritual teacher, I focus on the expression and the mood, not just a static physical likeness. We usually start with a conversation about the specific feeling you want to evoke—whether it is quiet meditation or active wisdom—to make sure the portrait truly honors their legacy and adds that grounded, calm energy to your room.
A portrait of a spiritual teacher is more than just wall art, it is a focal point for daily reflection. My approach to these commissions is deeply personal. I prioritize the 'Kamalnayan' or lotus-eyed quality, or the specific warmth in a gaze that students recognize instantly.
My Process
Collaboration is key. I share progress updates during the sketching and base-coating stages so we are always aligned on the final look. Whether it is a contemporary, abstract style suited for a modern apartment or a traditional realism piece, the goal is to capture the teacher's specific vibration.
Technical Details
- Materials: I use premium acrylics on heavy-duty, acid-free cotton canvas to ensure longevity.
- Finish: Every piece gets a double coat of non-yellowing varnish, either gloss or matte, to protect the pigment.
- Customization: If you need specific colors to match your home interiors or want to add symbolic elements like a lotus or specific background, we can plan that during the discovery chat.
Shipping & Care
I treat every shipment with care, ensuring the canvas arrives in perfect condition. For local commissions, we can discuss crating, and for long-distance deliveries, I use heavy-duty PVC tubes. Once you receive the piece, it is ready to be stretched and framed to become a centerpiece of your home or temple.
