About Handmade Gifts for Mom & Dad
Before we touch a brush to the canvas shoes or tote bags, I sit with every child to sketch out their ideas on paper. Whether it is a galaxy print for a space-loving mom or a cricket theme for a dad, drafting ensures the final piece is exactly what they imagined. I handle the fabric preparation and guide them through using professional fabric paints that stay vibrant wash after wash.
In these workshops, we move beyond simple craft. It is about creating a functional, wearable piece of art that a parent will actually cherish and use. Each session is a focused two-hour block where children learn the patience of working with fabric paints, mixing colors, and applying a varnish coat to seal the artwork for durability.
Why Personalized Gifts Matter
When a child spends time painting a stethoscope on a bag for their doctor mom, or a horse on shoes because they know their mother loves them, they are learning empathy alongside art. These are the details we nurture at the studio.
What we provide:
- Quality Base Items: We use sturdy canvas shoes, heavy-duty tote bags, and quality cotton t-shirts that hold paint beautifully.
- Professional Supplies: We use specialized waterproof fabric paints and acrylics. I also provide aprons, so the mess stays on the canvas, not on the kids.
- Guidance: I am right there to help with color blending and design spacing.
We keep our batches small, usually 6 to 10 children, so every little artiste gets my full attention. By the end of the session, they do not just take home a gift; they take home the pride of having made something truly special with their own hands.
Alafiyas Kinderart
I believe that imagination is the highest kite a child can fly, and nowhere is that more true than in the gifts they create. In my Bandra studio, I help kids find the perfect way to express their love, whether it is through painting shoes or designing a special t-shirt for dad.
