Gig Posters and Live Music Memories
A visual timeline of my journey as a musician. From online sessions to live sets at venues across Mumbai, these are the moments that keep me going.
My first gig of the new decade at Effingut, Bandra.
A poster for a duo set at Bandcamp, combining live music with a movie screening under the stars.
The poster for my all-original set at The Hertz Cave, a very special house gig.
A cottage gig in Bandra, where I shared the stage with some amazing indie artists.
Poster for an open mic night I featured in at Leaping Windows.
An online live session I did for 'The Hippie TV' during quarantine.
A poster for an online festival with Indiecraft, where I performed an all-original set.
A 'Global Gigs' online event I was a part of, connecting with an international audience.
An Instagram live session I did in collaboration with BrewHouse Tea.
About Gig Posters
When you look at these posters, they represent more than just dates on a calendar. For instance, the gig at Haikujam wasn't just about the music; I set up a small portrait photography corner for the audience before I started playing. I always try to make each performance a personal experience, whether it is a small house gig or a local cafe set.
Performing live has been the biggest part of my journey since I quit my desk job in 2018. When I look back at posters for shows at places like The Hertz Cave or Effingut, I remember the specific nerves and the eventual relief when the music finally starts. My approach to live music is pretty simple. I don't believe in loud, over-the-top productions for intimate settings. Instead, I focus on the sound and the story behind the song.
Whether I am playing a solo acoustic set, a duo act with Rhea, or a full band setup, my goal is to create a space where people can actually listen. I enjoy the contrast of performing in different environments. Playing a quiet, stripped-back session at Leaping Windows feels totally different from an energetic rooftop gig, but both allow me to share my songs—originals and covers—with people in Mumbai. If you are planning an event, I can adapt to the space. I bring my own gear for house parties and smaller cafes, and I handle the sound setup so you don't have to worry about the technical side.
Ryan Crasto
I’m Ryan, and I traded my desk job for my guitar back in 2018. I’m honestly a bit awkward in new places, but putting my heart into a song changes everything. I love playing intimate sets where I can actually connect with the people listening.
