Why I Shoot

I’m Akshansh, always with a camera slung over my shoulder somewhere on the road. For me, it’s all about catching stories, not just snapping pretty pictures. Sometimes life in the streets hits hard, makes me reflect, and that’s exactly what I try to show in my work - asli feel (the real vibe), with all its ups and downs.

What I Love to Capture

• Street photography in India, hunting for raw moments and real faces.
• Festival photojournalism: Holi explosions, Durga Puja idol-makers, soulful Ramadan nights at Nizamuddin Dargah, Ganga Aarti rituals.
• Culture and heritage, from Delhi’s Mughal tombs to Ladakh’s monasteries and chaotic Varanasi ghats.
• Cinematic travel reels that bring a place’s energy to life - whether it’s a sunset in Pondy or the madness in Delhi.

How I Work

No staged scenes here. I wait for the moment, chase the mood, and document what’s happening. My toolkit? Fujifilm mirrorless cameras, prime lenses, and as a licensed drone pilot, I capture aerial perspectives for that extra punch.

The Journey

Delhi is home but I’m always moving - Ladakh, South India, Nepal, wherever the story calls. Available for assignments across India (and beyond, if you’re feeling adventurous).
