About The First Few Days: Newborn Portraits
My newborn sessions are strictly scheduled within the first 15 days of life, when your baby is still naturally sleepy and easily settles into those classic, curled poses. Because these sessions require patience, I allow up to two hours in my North Bangalore studio, ensuring plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and diaper changes without any rush.
Why the first 15 days matter
Newborn photography is different from any other type of shoot. In these first two weeks, babies retain that newborn curl and often sleep for longer stretches, which allows me to pose them safely and comfortably. Beyond 15 days, babies tend to become more alert and their joints less flexible, making the classic 'womb-like' poses more difficult to achieve. If you are planning a session, it is best to book during your pregnancy to ensure I have a slot available in that narrow window.
The studio experience
My studio in RK Hegde Nagar is designed specifically for newborns. It is climate-controlled and sanitized, with a dedicated area for parents to relax while I work. I use a collection of soft, natural wraps and baskets that keep the focus entirely on your baby’s delicate features rather than flashy, distracting props. We move at your baby's pace. If they need a break or a feed, we stop. My goal is to ensure your baby feels secure throughout the entire process.
Customizing your session
While my style is focused on timeless, fine art portraits, I am happy to incorporate your preferences. Whether you prefer a clean, monochromatic look or something with soft, natural textures, we can discuss this before the shoot. I also include macro shots of tiny details like eyelashes, fingers, and toes, which are often the photos parents cherish most as their children grow.
