The Science of Vastu in Residential and Commercial Design
I treat Vastu as a practical science to enhance your well-being. By focusing on sunlight, airflow, and spatial arrangement, I ensure your home or office is functional, healthy, and harmoniously designed.
In this video, I explain my approach to Vastu as a practical science. I discuss how the strategic placement of spaces like the kitchen, living room, and master bedroom can harness natural elements like sunlight and airflow to create a healthy and positive environment in your home.
This is a 3D visualization of a Pooja unit I designed. The goal was to create a tranquil and spiritually uplifting space, incorporating an elegant arched niche, soft backlighting, and intricate wooden jaali doors, all while adhering to Vastu principles for sacred spaces.
Here is a before-and-after look at a living room transformation. We replaced dated furniture with a custom-designed, comfortable L-shaped sofa and updated the decor, while respecting the client's wish to retain the Vastu-compliant orange accent wall.
This render showcases my "Tea Joint" concept, a design solution for commercial franchises on T-junction properties. I specialize in turning these supposedly "unlucky" Vastu locations into high-visibility, successful business spots through smart architectural planning.
This view illustrates how the "Tea Joint" module would appear from the street, designed to be inviting and visible from its T-junction location. The architecture itself becomes a beacon, drawing in foot traffic.

About this collection
Before you commit to a layout, we verify the path of the sun and wind. For example, placing a kitchen in the Southeast is not just a rule, it is about ensuring the space receives the powerful morning light that is essential for hygiene and vitamin D. My process checks your digital floor plans to ensure this scientific ventilation logic works for your specific home before any structural work begins.
How I Apply Vastu Science
Vastu is often misunderstood as a collection of rigid superstitions. In my practice, I treat it as a framework for building physics. My design approach focuses on three core pillars:
- Solar Orientation: We analyze how sunlight enters your building throughout the day. By placing living areas in the Northwest and kitchens in the Southeast, we ensure that your most frequently used rooms are naturally lit and properly ventilated.
- Wind Flow: Ventilation is critical for a healthy home. Proper alignment of doors and windows, based on the prevailing wind directions in Bangalore and Davangere, prevents stagnant air and keeps your living spaces fresh.
- Spatial Functionality: Every room has a purpose. Master bedrooms belong in the Southwest for rest, while Pooja units and active zones require specific energy placements. My designs prioritize these functional requirements to ensure the layout supports your daily routine.
Commercial and T-Junction Projects
I apply this same logic to commercial spaces. Many businesses avoid properties at T-junctions or Y-junctions due to old beliefs. I approach these as architectural challenges. By utilizing smart façade design, branding, and strategic entrance placement, I turn these high-visibility locations into profitable advantages for franchise owners.
How We Can Work Together
Whether you are planning a new construction, renovating an existing home, or need a Vastu audit for a commercial property, I provide structured guidance. We can collaborate remotely via video consultation to analyze your floor plans, or I can conduct an on-site audit to provide a detailed remedial report. My goal is to deliver a clear, actionable plan that bridges the gap between traditional wisdom and modern architectural needs.
