Stronger Together: Partner Yoga Sessions
Yoga feels different when you have someone to hold the space for you. Join our partner sessions where we use trust, balance, and shared weight to deepen our practice together.
A beautiful partner yoga pose in the park. This supported Bakasana (Crow Pose) requires balance from one partner and a stable base from the other.
A dynamic partner yoga session in the studio. You can see students helping each other with splits, inversions, and other challenging poses, all while having a great time.
This playful acro yoga pose, sometimes called 'foot to shin', is a great way for partners to work on balance and core strength together.
Another fun and challenging partner pose. This requires the base partner to have strong legs and the flyer to have great core control.
A partner-assisted arm balance. The base partner provides a stable foundation in Balasana (Child's Pose) while the flyer practices a variation of Crow Pose.
A creative partner handstand using the wall for support. The base partner holds a wall sit while the flyer uses their legs as a platform to kick up.
This partner pose combines a stable wall sit with a standing Tadasana on the partner's lap, testing balance, strength, and trust.
About this collection
Partner yoga here isn't just about cool photos; it’s about learning to hold each other up. Whether we are practicing a supported Crow pose or using wall ropes to stabilize a stretch, I focus heavily on safety and communication. You will learn how to balance your weight against your partner, trusting them to provide the foundation while you explore your range of motion.
In our studio at Sector 23, Gurugram, partner yoga serves a dual purpose: it builds physical strength through shared resistance and deepens the mental bond between participants. When you are in a pose with a partner, you are not just relying on your own core. You are learning to communicate through subtle shifts in balance and weight.
We often start with simple, grounding poses. For beginners, this might mean a back-to-back seated stretch to open the hips. As you get comfortable, we move into more dynamic movements like supported arm balances. Do not worry if you are not an advanced practitioner. We use wall supports, blocks, and straps to ensure that the 'flyer'—the person being lifted—is always safe, and the 'base'—the person supporting—is stable.
It is important to remember that this is not a performance. There is no ego here. If you fall, we laugh. If you cannot reach a certain pose, we find a variation. These sessions are perfect if you want to deepen your trust in a friend, family member, or even a fellow student from the studio. It changes your perspective on what your body can achieve when you stop trying to control everything on your own.
Agastya Yoga
I am Agastya, and I have seen the magic that happens when people stop practicing in isolation. My classes are all about creating that 'family' vibe where you feel safe enough to trust someone else with your balance. Just bring yourself and an open mind; the rest, we figure out together.
