Our Story: Bringing Ghar Ka Swad to Your Table
Ever wondered what goes into a jar of Achari Adda? It is not just ingredients. It is dadi-nani’s recipes and a lot of heart. Here is a peek at how our small, home-run kitchen brings you that real ghar ka swad.
This is how my small business started, with stacks of empty boxes and trays of new jars. Every new venture has its learning curve, and I am growing slowly but surely with your incredible support.
A few snapshots from my first ever exhibition. It was an amazing experience to meet customers in person and see them try my products. You can see my range of pickles, preserves, and jaggery displayed for everyone to see.
This is my logo for Achari Adda, which represents the 'swad ka jhatka' I aim to deliver. It captures the essence of traditional Indian spices and the authentic, punchy flavors you will find in all my homemade products.
About Our Story & Journey
When you open an Achari Adda jar, you are not just getting pickles. You are getting recipes that have not changed in generations. I run a tiny, women-led kitchen where everything is made in small batches from scratch. There are no preservatives, no quick fixes, and definitely no factory-line rush. Just patience, sun-dried ingredients, and a lot of love packed into every single order.
I started Achari Adda because I missed the real taste of home, the kind my dadi and nani used to whip up. Food is an emotion for me, and I believe that if the stomach is full, half the stress is gone. I wanted to share that comfort, so I started experimenting with those traditional recipes in my own kitchen. It was not always easy. Transitioning from home-cooking to running a small business meant learning everything from scratch, from sourcing quality mustard seeds to figuring out the perfect sun-drying process for lemon pickle. Everything I do today remains hands-on. Whether it is hand-pricking the aamla for our murabba or ensuring the jaggery blocks have the perfect ratio of nuts, I handle it personally. I do not believe in mass production because that takes away the 'maa ke haath ka jaadu' (magic of mom's touch). Every jar goes through a careful process, and sometimes that means waiting a week for the flavours to develop naturally. When you support Achari Adda, you are not just buying a condiment. You are keeping these traditional methods alive and helping my dream grow, one jar at a time.
