SparkLights: Our Annual Student Dance Showcase

About this collection
SparkLights isn't a typical recital where the focus is just on getting steps right. We approach this annual event as a professional theatre production. When we take the stage at venues like Chowdaiah Memorial Hall, we bring in dedicated lighting design, professional sound mixing, and proper stage management. Every student, whether they are performing their first Bollywood routine or a complex Kathak piece, gets the full professional experience.
For us, the stage is a classroom, just a different kind. Many of our students walk into the studio shy, perhaps unsure of their rhythm. SparkLights is the destination of that journey. It is where we see the transition from learning basic beats—the 'ek, do, teen' we start with in class—to owning the space under a spotlight. We believe that if you put in the work to learn a craft, you deserve a proper platform to show it.
We feature a diverse mix of styles because that is who we are. You will see the fluid, emotive storytelling of Contemporary dance alongside the disciplined, rhythmic footwork of Kathak and Bharatanatyam. We also bring in the energy of Bollywood and open-style hip-hop to keep things vibrant.
By organizing this at professional venues, we want our students to understand the discipline required for a real performance—the cues, the costume changes, and the connection with a live audience. It is a family-friendly celebration, inviting friends, family, and dance lovers in Bengaluru to see what we have been building in our Rajarajeshwari Nagar studio all year long.
