Canvas & Chota Canvas: A Platform for Artists
We created these festivals to give dancers a real stage, not just a classroom. From Chota Canvas events for young learners to our main dance festival, we bring our community together to share stories through movement.

About this collection
These festivals are our way of ensuring that stage time is not just reserved for established professionals. Whether it is a 10-year-old performing for the first time at Chota Canvas or an emerging artist presenting a contemporary work at our main festival, we handle the production, lighting, and coordination so you can focus entirely on the dance.
At Abstratics, we believe dance is a conversation, not just a performance. We launched the Canvas Dance Festival to provide a dedicated space where contemporary and classical dancers can show their work without the pressure of a commercial venue. It is a place for emerging artists to experiment with movement, test new choreography, and engage with a supportive audience.
Our venues, like KH Kala Soudha and Seva Sadana in Bengaluru, are chosen to foster an intimate connection between the performer and the audience. We do not just provide a stage; we provide a full production experience. For our main festival, we include professional lighting design and on-site coordination to ensure every artist's work is presented with the respect it deserves.
The Chota Canvas initiative is particularly close to our hearts. It gives young dancers between the ages of 8 and 15 the chance to step out of the studio and learn what it means to be part of a show. They get to experience the discipline of rehearsals, the energy of the wings, and the thrill of the final bow. We have seen everything from Bharatanatyam and Kathak to Ballet and Hip-Hop on our stages. If you are a dancer looking to share your story or a parent wanting to introduce your child to the joy of performing, our doors are open.
Abstratics
We are Abstratics, and for us, dance has always been about more than just steps. We started these festivals because we know how difficult it is to find a stage that truly values your craft. We are happy to provide the space for you to share your story, whether you are taking your first steps or performing for the tenth time.
