About Dance Workshops & Masterclasses
Why These Workshops Matter
Dance is more than just learning steps for me. Our workshops are about finding your vibe, meeting like-minded people, and really digging into what makes each style special. Whether we're counting beats - ek do - or chasing the story behind a move, I want everyone to feel they can push boundaries and explore new ideas together.
What’s On Offer
- We keep things fresh with a mix of contemporary dance intensives, Indian classical dance masterclass sessions (think: Kathak, Bharatanatyam), and fusion dance workshop formats for anyone itching to try something offbeat.
- Contemporary sessions focus on improvisation, breath, and flow - perfect for those who love modern movement.
- Classical masterclasses go deep into Gharanas, Riyaz, and Abhinaya. Heads up, these can get intense and are best if you have some background already.
- Fusion and experimental workshops get wild: past ones included Combat Dance and Tribal Fusion Bellydance.
Learning From Top Artists
We regularly bring in well-known guest choreographers, Gurus, and innovators. Every session is a chance to pick up something new from the best in the scene, whether it’s a new footwork drill or wild creative energy.
Community Practice: Adavu Loka
If you’re into Bharatanatyam, Adavu Loka is our chill hangout for working on Adavus together. No pressure, just focused practice, honest feedback, and a lot of laughs.
Joining us isn’t about perfection. It’s about showing up, learning, and just dancing your heart out.

My Story
Hey, we’re Abstratics. Been at this for 11 years now, all about dance, community, and making a real home for movers. We started things like Canvas Dance Festival and SparkLights so dancers get their own stage, not just a classroom. Our style? We mix contemporary freedom with Bharatanatyam storytelling, like in Tatsama Tadbhava. Every show, every class—big thanks to everyone who’s danced with us. It’s been quite a ride, and we’re still grooving.
My Work
Our Dance Palette - We teach Contemporary, Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Hip-Hop, Bollywood, plus workshops like Ballet and Tribal Fusion Bellydance.
Classes for Everyone - Kids, teens, adults—beginners or pros, we’ve got classes to help you find your dance groove.
More Than Just Steps - We create full dance productions, mixing Indian classical and contemporary, like our Tatsama Tadbhava show.
A Stage for Every Dancer - Canvas Dance Festival and SparkLights give dancers a real platform to perform and shine.
Learning from the Masters - We host dance masterclasses with legendary gurus and artists for our community.
