About Social Justice Advocacy
Why I Fight for Justice
Maine hamesha kaha hai (I've always said), I stand with those who feel unheard. My work is about fighting for people who get left behind by the system, especially women and marginalized groups. Nyay (justice) is not just a word to me - it's a daily struggle.
Taking on the System
It’s not enough to just complain about injustice. I use the law as my tool - whether that’s taking cases to the High Court, filing PILs in the Supreme Court, or calling out deep-rooted biases. The reality is tough. Taarikh pe taarikh (never-ending court dates), huge case backlogs, corruption, and discrimination are everyday hurdles, most harshly felt by Dalits, Adivasis, and women.
Real Stories, Real Change
Through my foundation Rann Samar, I fought for two widows whose husbands died doing dangerous manual scavenging for petty money. We secured ₹10 lakhs for each family. These cases show how access to justice for Dalits and Adivasis can actually change lives.
Fighting Violence, Pushing for Reforms
I take up gender justice advocacy by helping women facing dowry, domestic violence, and unsafe workplaces. I’ve used Section 498A and the Domestic Violence Act to protect victims. With PILs, I push for better workplace harassment laws and other reforms. I believe daughters deserve equal rights, and I challenge old patriarchal mindsets every chance I get.
Collective Action
Changing single lives is important, but fighting for legal aid for marginalized communities and system-wide reforms makes a bigger impact. Through media and legal activism, I push for changes like revising the POCSO Act and demanding police accountability. This fight needs all of us - jab tak hum ek dusre ka haath nahi thamenge, desh aage nahi badhega (until we join hands, the country won’t move forward).

My Story
I’m Abha Singh, started out as a civil servant, saw the system up close – not always pretty. That’s what pushed me to law, especially for women’s rights. Allahabad’s Ganga, Kumbh Mela – my roots run deep, family’s my anchor. My kids, Isha and Aditya, both lawyers too – proud moments! Now promoted to grandma, new joys. College pals, old laughs, travel – all this keeps me grounded and reminds me why I fight for dignity and real change.
My Work
Legal Representation & Activism - I work on Public Interest Litigations, criminal cases, and women's rights legal help. I also speak at TEDx, Columbia, and media panels.
Voice for the Voiceless - Through Rann Samar, I fight for victims of domestic violence, dowry, workplace harassment, and compensation for manual scavengers.
High-Profile Cases & Systemic Change - Handled cases like Salman Khan Hit-and-Run. I file PILs to fix broken laws, push for PoSH committee legal support, and challenge injustice.
How I Work - I fight for justice with facts, passion, and a real understanding of society. Not just law, it’s about ground reality.
