Legal Commentary & Expert Analysis on National Debates
I take complex legal issues out of the courtroom and onto the national stage. My goal is simple: to make the law accessible, demand accountability, and drive public discourse on the critical issues affecting our society.
During this NDTV debate, I emphasize that the fight for justice for the Kolkata doctor is not a political issue but a human rights issue. We must move beyond party lines and address the core problem: the lack of safe working environments for women in India.
On Times Now, I discuss the case of Puja Khedkar, who allegedly used fraudulent certificates to enter the IAS. This is not just an individual's failure but a symptom of a collapsed, corrupt system where people know how to hijack processes meant for social justice.
On Mirror Now's Urban Debate, I argue against the misuse of "freedom of speech" by influencers like Ranveer Allahbadia. I clarify that this fundamental right comes with reasonable restrictions of decency and morality, and violating laws against obscenity, like Section 67 of the IT Act, must have legal consequences.
Speaking on NDTV about a landmark Supreme Court ruling on the POCSO act, I highlight the legal complexities when adolescent relationships are criminalized. I argue that the law must be rectified to distinguish between consensual relationships and rape, to prevent young lives from being destroyed by the system.
In this NDTV panel, I discuss the urgent need for a central law to protect doctors from attacks by patients' relatives. While Maharashtra has a state law, the lack of a national act shows that women's safety and workplace security are still not a priority, often becoming a tool for political maneuvering.
Speaking with NDTV India, I analyze the systemic failures in the Kolkata doctor's rape and murder case. I question the appointment of a civic police volunteer with a violent history and emphasize that the hospital administration is equally culpable for not providing a safe workplace, a failure that falls under the Sexual Harassment at Workplace Act.
On NDTV India, I analyze the legal and social implications of Urban Company's "Insta Maids" service. I argue that bringing the unorganized sector into a formal framework with police verification and accountability can increase the female labor force participation rate and reduce exploitation, provided labor laws like the Minimum Wage Act are strictly enforced.
In a heated debate on Aaj Tak regarding the Swati Maliwal assault case, I insist that the law must be applied impartially. If a false case has been filed, the accuser must face consequences, but if an assault occurred, the police must act swiftly. Justice must remain above politics.
Discussing the Prajwal Revanna case on NDTV, I condemn the political protection given to powerful individuals accused of heinous crimes. Allowing the accused to flee and delay investigations sends a message that the powerful are above the law, enabling them to destroy evidence and threaten witnesses.
On NDTV, I hold the BMC directly responsible for the Ghatkopar hoarding collapse, calling it a man-made disaster fueled by corruption. I question why officials who approved a 100-foot hoarding, violating the 40-foot limit set by the National Building Code, have not been held accountable for culpable homicide.
About On The National Stage: Media Debates & Legal Commentary
My media appearances are an extension of my courtroom battles. Whether I am dissecting systemic corruption, analyzing the implementation of the BNS, or holding authorities accountable for civic disasters, I strip away the legalese to focus on the ground reality. If you are looking for an expert voice to bring legal precision and a social justice perspective to your next panel, keynote, or corporate awareness session, let us connect.
Why I Bring the Law to the Screen
Public discourse often gets lost in noise. I use national platforms like NDTV, Times Now, and Aaj Tak not for fame, but to drag the law out of textbooks and into the public eye. When I question a system failure—be it the Ghatkopar hoarding collapse or lapses in workplace safety—I am doing so because the law is the only tool that can force change.
My Areas of Commentary
- Women’s Rights & Safety: I break down the Domestic Violence Act, POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) guidelines, and the reality of workplace safety protocols.
- Systemic Accountability: I analyze PILs and judicial rulings to show how citizens can challenge corruption and demand that authorities do their jobs.
- BNS & Criminal Law: I translate complex new legislation into simple, actionable information so that people understand the law of the land.
- Freedom of Speech: I draw the line between creative expression and legal obscenity, analyzing how the law governs the digital space.
How We Can Collaborate
Beyond debates, I translate this advocacy into practical sessions for your organization or institution:
- Corporate Keynotes: I deliver high-impact sessions on POSH compliance, gender neutrality, and legal accountability for leadership and HR teams.
- Academic Guest Lectures: I engage with students on the power of Public Interest Litigations (PILs) and the realities of a career in law versus civil services.
- Panel Participation: I offer an uncompromising, evidence-based perspective for expert panels, inaugurations, and moderated debates.
Justice is not a spectator sport. It requires us to engage, learn, and question. If my approach aligns with the impact you want to create at your event, reach out to discuss availability.
