My approach to Bengaluru homes often involves a neutral shell, using textures like lime wash or subtle wallpapers, that allows for intentional pops of color through upholstery and art.

A recurring challenge in modern apartments is achieving that airy, open-plan feel without compromising on privacy or utility. I solve this by focusing on furniture placement that naturally divides zones without using intrusive barriers. For instance, low-slung, linen-toned sofas combined with matte-black metal accents create a grounding effect. I pay close attention to lighting schemes, moving away from bright, uniform illumination toward a layered mix of architectural COB lights, magnetic tracks, and warm, floor-level ambient lamps.

When it comes to materials, I prefer tactile elements. Think hand-knotted wool rugs, boucle fabrics, and solid wood frames.
