About this collection
Before any cone touches skin, I map out every layout on paper. This preparation allows me to experiment with complex motifs like lotus bunches, architectural domes, and intricate jaali patterns, ensuring your final design is balanced, flows well, and fits your specific style request.
Whether you are looking for a unique pattern for your wedding or wanting to refine your own henna skills, seeing the foundation is helpful. I use these sketches for two main purposes: perfecting custom layouts for bridal clients and providing clear, step-by-step guidance for my students. In my Bhandup studio and online sessions, we break down these patterns into manageable steps. Beginners usually start with basic floral vines and border work, while advanced sessions focus on complex bridal figure-work and shading techniques.
If you appreciate the detail in a piece, it usually comes down to this initial drafting. Seeing the flow of a vine or the weight of a lotus petal on paper helps me visualize how it will settle on your hand. When working on custom bridal projects, I often create a mock-up based on your jewelry or venue theme. This removes the guesswork on the day of the event. For party guests, I rely on my catalog of practice sketches to work quickly without compromising on the neatness of the design. My goal is to ensure you feel comfortable with the design direction long before the henna paste is applied. If you have a specific theme or motif in mind for your upcoming event, let me know. We can use these templates as a starting point to build something custom.
