Behind every rich, dark stain is hours of sketching and planning. Here is how I develop my patterns and refine the fine lines that make your mehandi stand out.

A behind-the-scenes look at my application process. I use a fine-tipped cone to draw each line with care, ensuring the final design is flawless.

Practice makes perfect. This is a page from my sketchbook showing different types of grid work (jaali), which I use to create intricate filler patterns in my designs.

I love exploring different floral shapes in my sketchbook. From simple blossoms to complex roses and lotuses, these elements bring life to my henna designs.

It all starts with the basics. This page shows my practice of fundamental henna shapes and elements, which are the building blocks of every intricate design.

About My Design Process & Sketchbook

My work starts long before I open the henna cone. I spend hours in my sketchbook breaking down complex motifs like jharokha patterns or fine jaali work before they ever touch your skin. When you book me, that preparation ensures your bridal mehandi does not just look good from a distance, but holds up to close-up photography and intimate family viewing.

People often see the finished stain, but the foundation is in the lines. I practice specific grid work and filling techniques regularly to keep my hand steady and my patterns sharp. Whether you want a traditional bharwa (full) look or a modern fusion design, the sketching process helps me visualize how the motifs will sit on your specific hand and arm shape.

For brides, I use this planning phase to integrate personal elements like your wedding date, a favorite quote, or specific portrait requirements seamlessly into the overall pattern. I do not use stock designs. I build each composition to ensure the flow of the mehandi looks natural, not cluttered.

My application process is meditative. I use a fine-tipped cone for precision, taking five to nine hours for elaborate bridal pieces. This is not just about covering skin. It is about making sure the lines are clean and the stain is consistent. Using 100 percent natural organic henna is non-negotiable for me, as it ensures the dark, rich color you want for your big day without any chemical reactions.
