Our Mehndi Design Process and Sketches
Every beautiful henna design starts as an idea on paper. Here is a look at how Jashvant and I sketch out our signature motifs and practice new patterns to perfect the flow before they ever touch your hands.

About Our Design Process & Sketches
Every Mehndi design you see on skin starts as a rough sketch on paper. Jashvant and I use these practice sessions to master the symmetry of our signature peacocks, lotus motifs, and architectural elements like jharokhas. By refining the flow and spacing before we ever pick up a henna cone, we ensure that your final bridal mehndi or party design is balanced, clean, and exactly what you envisioned.
Why do we sketch so much? Because henna is permanent and precise. When you hire us for your wedding or festival, you aren't just getting an application; you are getting a design that has been studied and refined.
Our Creative Approach
- Mastering the Flow: Before we start on your palms, we trace the negative space on paper. This helps us ensure the design doesn't look crowded and that the intricate details of our figures, like Radhakrishna or Ganesh, stand out clearly against the darker henna stain.
- Architectural Inspiration: Our signature jharokhas and domes aren't random. We sketch these structural elements repeatedly to get the depth and shading right. This prep work allows us to work faster on the actual day of your event without compromising on the quality of the art.
- Customizing for You: When you ask for a custom design—perhaps a mix of specific florals or a portrait—we don't just draw it directly on your skin. We sketch it first to make sure the proportions are perfect for your hand size. This way, we can make adjustments based on your feedback before the cone touches your skin.
Whether it is a heavy bridal set or a quick guest design, this preparation is the backbone of our work. If you have a specific vision or a story you want to tell through your mehndi, let's talk. We love turning your ideas into a sketch, and then into a beautiful stain.
