About Yoga and Wellness Coaching
What I Bring to Yoga & Wellness
With over 45 years in martial arts, I've come to see movement not just as exercise, but as a way of shaping who you are. My yoga and wellness coaching isn’t about just sweating it out. It’s about building strength inside, finding calm, and growing real confidence—on and off the mat.
Holistic Yoga Journey
I focus on holistic yoga. That means we go way past just doing asanas. We work with breath, meditation, and old-school yogic practices. The idea is to help you find a quiet mind, a strong body, and a better connection with yourself. Simple things, but they go a long way. You’ll feel the benefits in your daily life, not just during class.
More Than Just Yoga
For those who want to go deeper, I bring in other stuff too:
- Tai chi for mindfulness, better balance, and gentle movement
- Strength training for a body that can handle everyday life
This isn’t a one-size-fits-all deal. I adapt to what you need—whether you’re starting out, looking for stress relief after work, or want to stay flexible as you age. Yoga for seniors, young adults, anyone—everyone’s got a place here.
What Actually Matters
I don’t care if you do a fancy pose. What matters to me is when you start believing in yourself, bit by bit. That’s what I want for you—real change, inside and out.

My Story
We’re the Institute of Wellness and Martial Arts, but folks call me Maa lee sometimes, thanks to my students. Been at this for 45 years, teaching martial arts is more than a job - it’s my heartbeat. Watching kids like Advaith kick high and seeing seniors stretch for the first time, that’s what keeps me going. Every small win, every new belt, it’s a celebration. This place is for anyone wanting to build strength, health, and some real confidence.
