Fresh Flower Rangoli Art
Design & Materials
- Flower Petals: 100% fresh loose petals including Orange & Yellow Marigold (Genda), Red Rose (Desi Gulab), and seasonal White Chrysanthemum/Jasmine.
- Pattern: Choice of traditional motifs (Ganesha, Kalash, Peacock), geometric mandalas, or occasion specific designs (Baby Footprints).
- Size: Covers a floor area of approximately 4x4 sq. ft to 5x5 sq. ft.
Embellishments
- Lighting: Includes 10 to 15 wax tea light candles integrated into the design or borders.
- Diyas: Placement of 4 to 6 traditional clay diyas (earthen lamps) within the artwork.
Execution
- Time: On site creation time of approximately 2 to 3 hours by a skilled artist.
- Cleanup: Post event cleanup is managed by the client.
Home Festive Backdrop Setup (8x8 ft)
Structure & Background
- Frame: 8ft x 8ft self standing metal or PVC structure (no wall drilling required).
- Backdrop: Choice of Artificial Green Grass wall (Boxwood mats) OR draped satin curtains in traditional colors (Yellow, Orange, Magenta).
- Lighting: 2 LED PAR uplighters for color wash and 1 to 2 strings of warm white fairy lights.
Floral & Props
- Border: Top border featuring high quality artificial floral runners.
- Hangings: 10 to 15 fresh Marigold (Genda) strings hanging vertically.
- Thematic Elements: Generic festive bunting and 2 to 3 foam board cutouts (e.g., Baby Krishna, Ganeshji, or text motifs).
- Accents: Includes traditional latkans, brass bells, or props based on theme.
Seating Area
- Floor: Decorative rug or ethnic sheet to cover client's existing mattress.
- Cushions: 2 decorative cushion covers or bolsters provided as props.
Welcome Home Room Transformation
Bed Canopy & Lights
- Cabana Setup: Sheer net fabric draped tent style from the ceiling center point over the bed.
- Lighting: 6 to 8 strings of fairy lights intertwined with the canopy fabric.
Balloon Decor
- Quantity: 50 to 70 Metallic and Chrome finish balloons (Air filled).
- Placement: Loose balloons on the floor and bunches taped to the ceiling with ribbons.
- Foils: Large foil letter balloons spelling "WELCOME" or "LOVE" plus 2 to 3 shaped foils (Heart/Star/Baby Bottle).
Floral & Floor
- Fresh Flowers: Approx. 1 kg of fresh red rose petals for bed art (heart shape) and floor trail.
- Accents: Tea light candles (wax or battery) lining the floral pathway.
Logistics
- Duration: Installation takes 90 to 120 minutes.
- Note: Materials are consumable/disposable; provider does not return for takedown.

I started out just making rangoli for Diwali at home, and slowly this hobby turned into something bigger. Now, creating festive and traditional home decorations gives me a real sense of joy, even when things get messy - like hauling supplies in Delhi ki baarish (Delhi’s rain). Seeing a happy face at the end makes every bit of hard work worth it.

If you’re planning a baby’s annaprashan sanskar (first rice-eating ceremony) or want a special sasural welcome setup for a new bride, I love adding a personal touch. Every milestone deserves a bit of magic.
