Manual Therapy for Pain Relief and Recovery
We do not just treat your pain. We fix the movement restrictions causing it, so you can stop masking symptoms and start building resilience.
Dry needling is a precise technique we use to target and release tight muscle knots, or trigger points. A gloved therapist carefully inserts a fine needle to alleviate chronic pain and restore muscle function.
A close-up of dry needling therapy. This effective treatment can provide rapid relief from issues like back pain, shoulder tension, and headaches by addressing the source of muscle dysfunction.
Cupping therapy is an ancient technique we use to decompress tissue and improve blood flow. Here, a therapist applies suction cups to a client's back to release muscle tension.
This image shows the application of cupping therapy. By lifting the underlying tissue, this method helps reduce soreness, improve mobility, and promote lymphatic drainage for faster recovery.
Here I am applying kinesio tape to a client with low back pain. This taping method provides support and pain relief without restricting movement, making it ideal for people who need to stay active.
Careful application of kinesio tape is essential for its effectiveness. We use specific patterns to either facilitate or inhibit muscle function, depending on the client's needs.
This client is receiving kinesio taping for abdominal support, which can help with core stability and reduce strain on the lower back.
About this collection
Most people walk in asking for a massage, but that is a temporary fix for a deeper biomechanical issue. Our manual therapy—including dry needling, cupping, and joint mobilization—is specifically designed to remove the restrictions limiting your movement, so we can transition you to the active rehab that actually builds resilience.
We approach manual therapy with a clinical mindset. It is never just about providing comfort. When you come in for a session, we start by identifying the movement pattern that is failing. Is it a tight muscle restricting your overhead press, or a stiff joint limiting your squat depth? We use precise manual interventions to address those specific tissues.
If you are dealing with chronic shoulder tension, we might use cupping for decompression and dry needling to release trigger points. If you have low back pain, we focus on joint mobilization to restore lumbar mobility.
Crucially, these sessions are not standalone. We believe in the marriage of passive treatment and active movement. Your 60-minute session includes both the hands-on work to get you moving pain-free and a 30-minute block of corrective exercises. This ensures that the range of motion you gain on the table is secured by strength training on the gym floor. You get a digital home plan to keep the momentum going, ensuring your recovery is continuous, not just something that happens when you visit our Brookefield clinic.
