Illustrations for Social Change & Advocacy
Visuals that turn complex social issues into clear, human-centered narratives for campaigns, reports, and organizations.
I created a series of fun illustrations for this book on child and adolescent nutrition for Rainbow Care Homes. It was a joy to work with their intentional team of nutritionists and staff.
The title cards I illustrated for the film "Jillu." Seeing the names of real transwomen actors alongside my art is a privilege; this film is changing perspectives on translives.
An infographic illustration from the Rainbow Homes planner, explaining the difficult topic of sexual abuse. The goal was to create visuals that are clear, sensitive, and educational.
This illustration depicts the reality of corporal punishment. Using a minimal color palette helps to focus on the gravity of the subject from a child's perspective.
An illustration about emotional abuse, another difficult but necessary topic covered in the Rainbow Homes planner. Visuals can help make these hidden harms more understandable.
This piece illustrates the concept of neglect. My work for this project aimed to support the NGO's mission to protect the most disadvantaged children.
About Illustrations for Social Change
When I collaborate with NGOs or campaigns, I do not treat art as a final decoration; it is a communication tool. Whether I am depicting the reality of corporal punishment or illustrating nutrition guides, I focus on stripping away distractions to present the truth of the issue immediately. You will receive a high-resolution digital master file that you can print or distribute according to your project needs, ensuring my work remains a permanent, accessible asset for your cause.
My work for social initiatives is rooted in the belief that truth is art. When I worked with the Rainbow Homes Program on their annual planner, the goal was not to make something pretty, but to make something that could communicate the gravity of abuse and neglect from a child's perspective. I used a minimal color palette and raw, expressive lines to ensure the message was not lost in visual noise.
How I Work with Organizations
I treat my illustration process as a form of research. We start with a 30-45 minute conversation to align on the narrative, the emotional stakes, and the specific audience you are trying to reach. Because I work entirely on the iPad, I can provide ultra-high-resolution files (300-600 DPI) that are ready for any format, from large-scale seminar posters to compact book covers.
Deliverables
You are not just buying an image; you are getting the master file. My packages include:
- A research-backed conceptualization phase.
- High-resolution TIFF or PNG files for professional print.
- A 30-second time-lapse video documenting the stroke-by-stroke creation, which many of my NGO partners use for social media storytelling.
I am also open to title card illustrations for films, as seen in my work for 'Jillu,' where the visual identity helped anchor the stories of transwomen. If your project demands a voice that is fierce, empathetic, and politically engaged, let’s see if our values align.
