Essential Warm-ups and Cool-downs for Combat Sports
We don't skip the foundation. Our training begins with purposeful mobility and ends with recovery, ensuring you stay in the fight longer and stronger.
A member performs a deep pancake stretch on the mats, an essential cool-down for improving hip mobility and flexibility.
A coach assists a member with a partner stretch, helping to increase flexibility and aid in muscle recovery after a hard workout.
Another example of assisted stretching, where a training partner helps to deepen a stretch for better results and injury prevention.

About this collection
You won't find treadmill machines here. Our warm-ups are all about dynamic movement on the mats—bear crawls, mobility drills, and partner stretches—to prep your joints before the heavy lifting starts. When the session ends, we stick around for guided cool-downs, helping each other hit those deep stretches because we know recovery is just as important as the workout itself. It is all part of the grind, and no one finishes the session alone.
At 1026, we train hard, but we train smart. Many gyms treat warm-ups as an afterthought, but here in Yelahanka and Amruthahalli, we know that a proper start is the difference between hitting your next personal best and sitting on the sidelines with an injury.
We spend time on mobility drills that get the heart rate up and joints lubricated—the perfect setup for the two-hour grind that follows. You will be barefoot on our specialized 1-inch thick EVA foam mats, engaging your core and stability from the very first minute. This isn't just about 'getting warm'; it is about priming your body for the high-intensity combat drills, boxing combinations, and heavy lifting that defines our curriculum.
When the intensity peaks, the cool-down becomes a team effort. You will see members helping each other with partner-assisted stretches, whether it is a deep pancake stretch for hip mobility or focused work on flexibility to prevent tightness. It is part of the 1026 family culture—nobody leaves broken. We focus on the mobility you actually need for combat sports and compound lifting. Whether you are here for weight loss, MMA, or just general strength, this systematic approach to prep and recovery is built into our daily batches. We keep it real, gritty, and always focused on long-term performance.
