I do not just teach the how. I show you the physics, anatomy, and science behind every stroke, blend, and application.

Your brushes are your most important tools. I'm explaining the anatomy of a makeup brush and the correct way to wash and dry them to prevent shedding and damage. Proper maintenance is key to longevity and performance.

Pro tips on lash application. I'm explaining how different lash shapes create different effects. A small-to-big lash lifts the eye, while a small-big-small style makes the eye look bigger. Understanding this helps you customize looks for every client.

Liner tips for different eye shapes. Here, I'm demonstrating how to adapt liner thickness for deep-set eyes with varying amounts of lid space. It's about enhancing, not just applying.

A quick tutorial on lip correction. I'm showing how to use a lip liner to create the illusion of a fuller upper lip by slightly over-lining and rounding the shape. Small adjustments can make a huge difference.

An easy tip for better blending. I teach my students to use their little finger as a fulcrum for stability. This allows for a wider, more controlled range of motion compared to a locked, rigid hand.

The importance of moisturizer. I'm explaining the science behind skin prep. Oily skin is often acidic and dehydrated, so if you don't moisturize, it will pull water from the foundation, causing it to turn grey.

A session on color theory. I'm explaining how understanding the color wheel can help in correcting skin tones and choosing eyeshadow colors that make a client's eyes pop. It's about making informed, artistic choices.

A quick tip for hairstyling. I'm explaining how to use a constructor product to add volume and texture to frizzy or curly hair, making it easier to manage and style.

A candid conversation with a student. I share that my energy comes from the love I get from my students and my passion for teaching. When you love what you do, it never feels like work.

About Behind the Scenes: The Zorain's Method

Most artists struggle with shedding brushes, but it rarely has to do with the quality of the brush itself. It is almost always about how you wash and dry them. I teach my students to never leave brushes soaking in water and to always dry them horizontally off the edge of a counter. When you treat your tools with this level of respect, they last longer and perform better every single time you sit down to create a look.
