Open Speed Skating Championship Entry
Race Logistics
- Entry: Registration for one participant (U-6 to Adult) for Quads or Inline categories.
- Venue: Access to St. Mary's ICSE outdoor concrete courts for heats and finals.
- Management: Professional lap counting, track marshals, and heat organization.
Kit and Rewards
- Supplies: Chest bib number allocation and water station access.
- Medals: Finisher medal for every participant; Gold, Silver, and Bronze for podium winners.
- Refreshments: Post-race snack box containing a savory item and fruit drink.
Experience
- Setup: Event hosted with MC announcements, music system, and balloon decor.

Advanced Championship Training Program
Training Schedule
- Frequency: 3 to 4 high-intensity sessions per week (60-90 minutes each).
- Locations: Rotational training including weekend road rallies at Marine Drive or Ballard Pier.
- Technique: Focus on speed skating edge control, start-line sprints, and long-distance endurance.
Athletic Conditioning
- Equipment: Usage of resistance parachutes for drag training and agility ladders.
- Dry-Land: Off-skate exercises for core strength and posture correction.
- Guidance: Basic nutritional advice and race-day strategy for 200m to 1000m distances.

- Selection: Eligibility for District and State level selection meets.
- Exclusions: Professional inline skates and Aerodynamic Bodysuits must be purchased separately.

Annual Speed Skating Championship
Our main event is the speed skating championship - open to everyone, not just our students. We split categories by age and skill, so even beginners get their shot. The vibe? Full-on festive, with venues like St. Mary’s ICSE Mazagon buzzing with energy. Every participant gets a certificate and snacks, winners walk away with medals and surprise gifts. It’s a proper celebration of sportsmanship.
Creative Contests on Skates
Not everything is about speed. We run creative skating events like fancy dress and fashion shows on wheels. Kids love gliding around as Spiderman or their favorite character. It’s fun, and honestly, parents tell me “lahan mulana khup changlya prakare te shikavtat” (they teach young children very well).
Training for Champions
Our advanced training batch is for those serious about endurance skating races. We do speed drills, road training, and race strategy. Off-skate warm-ups, parachute strength training, and long-distance sessions are all part of it. Coaches like Afzal sir and Akbar sir push everyone to go beyond their limits.

My Story
Main Zia. Started skating in '88, opened my academy in '89 - bas, ek simple love tha wheels ke liye (just loved wheels). Now, kids I taught bring their own kids to my son, Afzal. Generations have rolled with us, literally. Yeh sirf business nahi, family hai. (This isn’t just a business, it’s family.) We’ve seen lakhs of students, from their first fall to national champs. But medals? Nah, it’s about the rain, the laughter, Santa on skates. Bas, yahi life ka achievement hai.
