How We Approach Tattoo Fading

When you come to us for a cover-up, the goal isn't just to erase the past, but to make room for something new. We use PicoSure laser technology, which is effective for breaking down ink pigments while remaining safe for your skin.

Fading is different from total removal. If you are preparing for a cover-up, we do not need to blast away every trace of the old ink. We only need to lighten it enough so that your new design can blend seamlessly without the old lines peeking through. This typically requires fewer sessions than a full removal, making it a more efficient path to the tattoo you actually want.

The Process at Jayanagar

Every session at our Jayanagar studio follows a standard safety protocol. We always start with a visual assessment to check your ink density and set realistic expectations for the fading process. During the session, you will be provided with UV-protective goggles, and we use targeted laser firing to treat the area.

After the session, we apply soothing ointments and manage the skin with ice packs to help with recovery. Because skin health is our priority, we strictly mandate a 30-day gap between sessions. This allows your body to naturally clear the ink particles broken down by the laser.

We are honest about the process. There is some discomfort, and results do not happen overnight, but we believe in managing expectations from day one.
