Getting a floral bun to last in Mumbai weather is all about structure. I use crimping at the roots for volume and specialized pins to anchor the weight of fresh flowers, so your hair does not droop. If your natural hair lacks the density for a full, voluminous bun, I incorporate high-quality extensions to get that perfect shape without the added strain on your scalp.
My Approach to Bridal Updos
Creating the perfect updo is not just about pinning hair back. It is about balancing the weight of your jewelry, the neckline of your blouse, and the climate of your venue.
The Foundation Every updo starts with texture analysis. I use root crimping to create a sturdy foundation, providing the grip needed for heavy matha pattis or maang tikas. For sleek styles, I use professional-grade pomades and smoothing tools to eliminate flyaways, giving you that glass-hair finish.
Floral Detailing A floral bun is a classic, but execution matters. I use fresh roses, baby's breath, and traditional gajra, securing them with florist wire and tape rather than just sticking them into the braid. This ensures the flowers stay hydrated and in place throughout the event.
