A World of Imagination: Themed Days & Storytelling
We don't just read stories, we step into them. From Arctic expeditions to forest hunts, our themed days turn every book into a magical adventure.
Oceans of wonder came to Wonderland as our little explorers took a magical plunge into the Ocean Habitat. The day was filled with bubble play, sensory fun, and underwater adventures that made waves in the world of imagination.
Strap on your safari hats! Our little explorers went on a wild ride through the grasslands habitat, spotting lions, giraffes, and zebras. It was a day full of roaring adventures, bumpy jeep rides, and jungle magic.
Our little explorers stepped into a frosty new world: the magical Arctic habitat. From waddling like penguins to crafting sparkling snowflakes, every moment was filled with curiosity, creativity, and cold-weather fun.
Our summer campers stepped into a vibrant desert oasis. This desert habitat day was filled with sand play, cactus crafts, and a whole lot of splashing to turn a hot day into a cool adventure.
Wetlands wonders at camp! Our little explorers dove into the marshy habitat with wide eyes and big smiles, enjoying everything from turtle meet-ups and boat races to wonderfully messy and memorable muddy play.
We took a delightful journey into the book "Monkey Puzzle". Through a jungle-themed sensory setup, children followed clues to help the little monkey find his mom, learning about problem-solving and friendship along the way.
Inspired by Eric Carle’s "Little Cloud," our learners floated into a world of imagination. They observed how a simple cloud can turn into sheep and airplanes, then brought the story to life with their own creative activities.
Gerald the Giraffe found his rhythm, and so did our Wonderland stars! We brought "Giraffes Can't Dance" to life with a musical story presentation, dancing, and even decorating yummy giraffe cupcakes.
Our little ones had breakfast with "The Very Hungry Caterpillar." This activity of feeding their pretend caterpillar helped them explore concepts of caring and nurturing, bringing a beloved story to life one bite at a time.
Children loved exploring the story of "The Gruffalo" at our "Hola Gruffalo" event. They created their own Gruffalo crumble, mixing edible ingredients to make a delicious and monstrously fun treat.
About A World of Imagination: Themed Days & Storytelling
We don't just read books, we live them. When we explore a story like The Gruffalo or dive into an Ocean Habitat, your child isn't just listening—they’re mixing Gruffalo crumble, navigating obstacle courses, and exploring sensory bins. It’s hands-on learning where the classroom becomes the story itself.
This isn't just play; it's deep immersion. We structure our curriculum around books and habitats to teach complex concepts like empathy, biology, and problem-solving in a way that makes sense to a toddler.
We follow the Reggio Emilia approach, meaning we let the children’s curiosity lead the way. If the class wants to spend the whole morning in the mud kitchen pretending it is a wetland, we follow that lead. Whether it is baking giraffe cupcakes to understand rhythms after reading 'Giraffes Can't Dance' or doing science experiments to see how a little cloud floats, the goal is always to keep the experience tactile.
Parents are a massive part of this. With our Star Parent Program, you are invited to join the class to narrate stories, bake, or lead crafts. It is our way of bridging the gap between home and school, ensuring every child feels safe and confident to explore. When you walk into a session here, you will see a space where the furniture, the costumes, and the sensory bins have all been set up to spark a real, genuine interest in the world around them.
