About Outdoor & Candid Moments
Shooting outdoors with kids is unpredictable, so I keep the structure loose. If the lighting is fading or your child wants to run in the grass instead of sitting by the teepee, we follow their lead. My setup creates a tiny, safe playground where they feel comfortable enough to laugh, jump, and forget I am even holding a camera.
Outdoor photography is about freedom. Unlike a controlled studio environment where we manage every aspect, an outdoor session is a collaboration with nature. I often bring along subtle props like vintage books, small teepees, or musical instruments to parks and gardens across Bangalore to give your child an anchor, but the real magic comes from letting them interact with the surroundings.
Whether it is catching bubbles in the afternoon light or exploring a path, I am looking for the split second where they stop 'posing' and start being themselves. This is why I never rush a shoot. If your child is shy, we take time to play before I even click the shutter. If they have endless energy, we capture that motion rather than trying to slow them down.
I recommend outdoor sessions during the early morning or late afternoon golden hours to get that soft, warm light that makes skin tones glow. We can discuss your child's interests beforehand—if they love planes, we incorporate that. If they are a little explorer, we bring out the globe. My goal is to return you with images that remind you of who they were at this specific age, not just how they looked in their best clothes.
