This is what I call a JOY session. There's nothing more real and beautiful than a family just being themselves, and this spontaneous pillow fight was the highlight of our shoot. It’s these unscripted, fun-filled moments that make family maternity portraits so special.

About Joyful Family Moments
When I shoot with families, I avoid stiff, formal posing. If your little one decides a pillow fight is in order or wants to read a story, that is exactly what we capture. I follow your child's lead to keep everyone comfortable, which is how we get those genuine, unscripted giggles and warm connections.
Why I call these 'JOY sessions'
My approach to maternity photography is simple: if you aren't happy and relaxed, the photos won't be either. I don't believe in forcing toddlers or partners to sit in uncomfortable, rigid poses. Instead, I focus on the 'JOY session' philosophy. Whether we are at your home in Mumbai or capturing a quiet moment between you and your partner, the goal is to document who you are right now.
How a home session works
I bring my studio to you. You do not need to worry about travel, packing up a newborn, or keeping a toddler entertained in a sterile studio environment.
- The Setup: I bring a professional backdrop stand, lighting, and props. I can set this up in your living room or bedroom.
- The Flow: For full family sessions, we block out 3.5 hours. This allows plenty of time for outfit changes, snack breaks for the kids, and letting everyone settle in.
- The Style: I mix fine art poses with candid lifestyle photography. We might start with some clean, elegant portraits, but we always end with real play—pillow fights, storytime, or just hanging out on the bed.
Working with kids and partners
I understand that involving older siblings can be daunting. I use a child-led approach. If they want to be involved, great. If they need space, we give it to them. By letting the session flow naturally, we capture the excitement of your growing family in a way that feels authentic to your life. I also encourage partner involvement—forehead kisses and belly cradling are staples of my work.
My goal is to provide you with images that show not just what you looked like, but what your home felt like during this special time.
